Hey there! I recently purchased the Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings set from the Too Faced website for $20. Not only did I receive the four deluxe samples in the set but with a coupon code (no longer available, sorry!), but another 4 samples! Honestly, how could I say no? I’ve had a chance to check out each product and thought I would give you a review. Let’s go!
Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings Review
Deluxe Better Than Sex Mascara
This is what I was looking forward to the most and I must say, it did not disappoint! Just by looking at it, you can see it has a interesting shape to the brush. I feel like the fact that it flares out on both ends really helps to coat and volumize every single lash. After one coat, my lashes were long and separated, perfect for an everyday look. With the second coat, my lashes became slightly clumpy but so bold! I highly recommend this product!
Deluxe Chocolate Solell Matte Bronzer
I just recently got into using bronzer, so I was curious about this product. First of all, the smell! It smells like actual chocolate, almost good enough to eat! As you can tell from my picture, I’m quite fair so I worry about bronzers looking too orange for my face. This did not come out too orange or streaky at all, it was very blendable. I think for a matte bronzer, this is definitely a good option.
Deluxe Primed & Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer
I have to admit, I am not a huge fan of primers. I’m usually putting on my makeup quickly in the morning before I rush out the door to work, so the less steps the better. This does have a really nice smooth feel on my skin, and I actually see a difference in my makeup application! On days when I have a little more time, I will definitely be adding this to my routine.
Deluxe Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer
I usually use Maybelline Color Tattoos, so eye shadow primer is not really necessary. If you do use powder eye shadows regularly, primer is a must. Do I think this one is anything special? Not really. I would say if you are thinking about buying this, you can find something just as good in the drugstore.
Deluxe Melted – Peony
This lipstick is actually really cool. It’s long wearing and semi-matte. This was easy to apply and still gave the effect of wearing a lipstick. It felt a little dry to me, so I layered the Glamour Gloss (see below) on top. I really love the result that the two lip products give.
Mini Glamour Gloss – Sex Pot
This lipgloss is a sheer lilac that by itself does not give a ton of color payoff, but looks lovely on top of almost any lipstick. It claims to be plumping, but I’m not really noticing that too much. This lipgloss is really nice but perhaps not worth the price.
Mini Primed & Poreless Powder
As an oily skinned girl, I LOVE setting powders! I don’t know how my makeup would keep from melting off with out setting it. This powder is translucent and very finely milled. A little goes a long way when applying this. It makes my skin feel so smooth, I may have to purchase the full size!
My Overall Impression
Today I applied all of the products mentioned above, and so far I am liking the result. For $20 (plus shipping & handling), this little set it completely worth it. I had never tried a Too Faced product before and this was the perfect opportunity. Let me know if you’ve tried this set or what your favorite Too Faced products are!
